Just a few fun pics from the last few weeks....

Tummy time!

I love my jungle jumper!

Gigglemania

Hey Everyone!

Sorry it has been a while sice my last post, but I have been so busy. I have discovered my voice and love to make all kinds of noises from giggles to squeels to doggy language. Some of my newest tricks are: taking my binky in & out of my mouth, rollong over(mostly by accident), carrying on conversations with Drake, bouncing like a mad woman in my jungle jumper and pushing up to standing.

Last week mom let me eat some new goopy stuff she calls rice cereal. I like to play with it more than eat it. Rumor on the street is ... pretty soon I get to start eating more interesting things like vegetables. Yum!!!!
I also went to the lake for the first time. We all went to my auntie Kristy's house last Sunday, but my dad wouldn't let me get in the water. I still had fun hanging out in my bikini with all the girls. Hopefully next time I will get to try splashing around in the water.
Love,
Siena

I Survived My First Cold

Despite my cold there were a few good pictures taken over the last week... I'm a big girl now I want to sit up all the time.
Hey what happened...why is everything upside down?

I know I'm adoreable!

It was a rough week around my house....

Mommy was sick on Sunday and Monday, so she wasn't very much fun. Just as soon as she started feeling better I started getting sick. My nose was runny and I couldn't breathe good and I felt like I was on fire. The gooey stuff in my nose made drinking a bottle very hard and frustrating. Mom and Grammy took me to see Dr. Laura on Friday, just to make sure I didn't have an ear infection or something worse than a cold. My ears were clear, so the verdict was: its just a head cold and we would all have to suffer through it. The next day was Daddy Day (Saturday) and sure enough he started feeling sick too. I tried really hard not to get him sick, but he just loves my kisses so much it was hard to resist. Of course he thought he had the Swine Flu or something. Mommy says, he does have a flair for the dramatics you know.Today is Monday and I think we are all on the mend now. I never knew it was so hard being sick. I sure hope that doesn't happen again.

Spring is in the Air!

On Sunday Mom, Dad and I went to my Grandma Malovic's house to take some Easter pictures. It was lots of fun! I like looking at all the pretty flowers blooming around me. Here I am with mom after she changed my dress.
I have officially found my hands and oh they taste sooo good!

Who could ask for a cuter subject.

Who knew being cute was such hard work!

This is one of the first pictures they took and I was not quite awake yet. I mean what is that crazy bird doing anyway?

Momnesia

I know you all want to see pictures of Siena and here about how she is doing and stuff, but I need to get some things off my chest...For anyone who is pregnant or has been pregnant recently you can probably relate. I thought I was starting to lose my mind when I was pregnant because I was forgetting things on occasion...conversations or to pay a bill. It never really effected my work, but now that the momnesia has set in it is a whole different story.
I make lists and use tricks to help me remember to do things like associate colors with tasks. I think I am pretty detail oriented and I have a darn good memory, but lately it sucks! I have no focus at work and I swear I have done things only to find out I haven't (and by the time I realize what I missed its usually too late to fix the problem). When I am at work I am thinking about work then all of a sudden my milk will let down and the brain goes straight to my little sunshine Siena. In my typical day I have to balance pumping enough milk at work to keep her fed and complete my job responsibilities all while feeling incredibly guilty for not being with her and sad because I know I am missing so much. And on top of that I have to drop Siena off and pick her up in Elgin, keep my house relatively clean and make dinner(Matt does help with the cleaning and cooking). I feel like there are never enough hours in a day to get everything done. Does it get any easier? Will my mind ever be what it once was? Someone please give me hope.

2 Month Check Up

Yesterday I went to see Dr. Rickenman for my 2 month check up. First I got weighed and let me tell you that scale thing is over rated. Apparently you have to lay still and I don't like to do that especially if I don't have my clothes on. I'm a dancing machine! I wieghed 12 lbs 10 oz! Mama was so proud.
Then Dr. Laura came to talk to me...I like her a lot, she makes me smile when she makes funny faces. She admired my lovely rolls and double chin. Then she checked my eyes, ears and throat. Mama talked to her for a while and asked a few questions and then Dr. Laura left.
After mom got me dressed this other not so funny lady came in and gave me some really yucky tasting goo (tylenol). I should have known that there were worse things to come because no sooner did I get over that she stuck me with 3 different sharp things right in my chubby leg. How RUDE! I think they were called shots. I cried and cried and mama almost cried with me, but by the time we got half way home I was asleep. Grammy was waiting at home for us and we hung out for the rest of the day.
Here are a few photos of what I have been up to...

A Note from Mama

Last Wednseday was a sad day...I had to go back to work full time. I missed my little Siena Bear so much! But I was proud of myself for not crying. My mom has been watching her Tuesday thru Friday, so that gives me peace of mind knowing she has Grammy to watch over her. I tell you what... it makes me appreciate the weekends so much ore. To think I used to want Matt to take her when he got home from work so I could get some things around the house done. Now I want her all to myself on Sundays and Mondays. I cherish every little snuggle and smile!

Siena is growing up so fast. She already holds her head up and turns it from side to side. She is a very observant girl. She loves looking out the windows at the trees and loves to hang out in her pack & play on the back porch and listen to the birds on pretty days. Griffin even came over for a play date last Monday and they hung out in the pack & play together. He makes Siena look like an amazon woman!

Even her poops are starting to change! She was pooping at least 4-6 times per day sice the day she was born. Then she didn't go for 2 days. Then she was pooping once per day, until Sunday...apparently it all caught up with her. She had the biggest poop ever! I hope she stays regular or that Daddy gets the next huge one because Mom can't handle those big girl poops often.

That is all the excitement for the last week.
Happy St. Patricks Day and Love to All!
